Hi all, I am currently investigating your possible requirements for the fold-up cardboard boxes used for displaying, transporting and storing individual minerals, gems and fossils. The reason for this is that I am considering making an injection moulding tool to make these in plastic. If we decide to go ahead with the moulding tool, the new boxes will be made to fit tightly into the standard cardboard flats currently in use. There would be several benefits with these new boxes. Benefits: 1. The current price would be about the same. Possible Disadvantages: 1. They take up more storage room when empty. If you are a user of the cardboard fold-up type box, I would be grateful if you can spare the time to forward me some information as follows. 1. What size boxes do you use? Please list all sizes. 2. How many of each size would you use annually? Approximately. 3. How deep do you prefer the boxes to be? eg. 37 mm x 37mm x 17 mm = 1.5" X 1.5 " X .75" 4. What sort of finish would you like to see on the box? 5. What quantity do you buy of each size at a time? Even if you are only using small quantities I would still like to know the quantity of each that you may use annually. please copy and paste the questions into an email and place your answers beneath question. To avoid congestion in the group, I would be grateful if you will please send your answers to: Thank you. Best Regards, Gus. |
