We Have Possibly The Largest Reserves Of Gem Grade Prehnite In The World
SunJade® is the name we have trademarked to distinguish our high gem grade variety of prehnite from the lower grades of prehnite on the market from other sources.
Australian prehnite is regarded as the best quality prehnite in the world. When you choose SunJade® you will be guaranteed the best quality we have to offer.
The mineral prehnite was first discovered in South Africa and is named after Colonel Prehn. To distinguish the mineral from the gem we have given the name SunJade® to our gem grade prehnite.
Crystal Universe currently holds 270 square kilometers of exploration license over possibly the largest reserve of prehnite in the world.*
Prehnite from Wave Hill, Northern Territory, is the finest prehnite in the world. This fine prehnite will soon be available commercially on the international market under the trade name SunJade®.
Prehnite was discovered in the Wave Hill area of Northern Territory many years ago and, during the 1960's several local fossickers sold quantities of low to medium grade material to dealers in Victoria. These first shipments of prehnite were sent to Germany for carving and then nothing more was mined after those early shipments.
During the 1970's, Gerald Pauley had the good fortune to gain permission to access old mines reports at the Bureau of Mineral Resources in Darwin, prior to it being blown away by Cyclone 'Tracey'. These reports showed details of deposits of gemstones in the Wave Hill area of Northern Territory.
On the first trip to Wave Hill, he realised the potential of the area to produce fine quality prehnite but also identified the other gem and mineral reserves of economic significance. Agate, amethyst, jasper, smoky quartz, quartz and the zeolite, scolecite were among the gems and minerals he found.
He first discovered the deposit of high quality gem grade prehnite in 1982 and for the next few years he prospected the area and finally obtained mining tenements. After extensive work on materials retrieved from the Exploration Licenses, he realised the potential of the material for gem processing into ornamental works and semi-precious gems. Prehnite, at that time, was regarded as a rare 'precious' gem.
From late 2000, Rob Sielecki and Gerald Pauley have been involved in negotiations with various associates and contacts throughout the world in order to commence working the deposit commercially. Current material on the market is either scavenged from the surface or illegally extracted and processors are not able to gain continuity of supply. The deposits are currently held under Exploration Licenses by Crystal Universe with a view to future large scale mining in specific areas. Crystal Universe has a current application for a mineral lease covering over 1,500 hectares. This is due to be granted in 2007 so mining will commence during th.s year.
A number of reputable dealers have expressed interest in purchasing large quantities of raw material for processing and, at this point in time, we will be examining the possibility of doing major exploratory work on this deposit.
Companies interested in purchasing large quantities of SunJade®, for processing, are invited to write to us stating expressions of interest in the material, specifically prehnite, at: email@example.com
There are many colours and qualities of material as can be seen from the photographs (below). Our initial aim is to thoroughly examine the potential of the reserve and, if successful, we will initially offer the material in three or four price categories for bulk material.
If you are interested in obtaining continuity of supply of this beautiful gemstone, please let us know where you are from (country), what annual volumes you would consider buying and also the frequency of ordering.
Known reserves are currently held under current Exploration Licenses or Applications.
For further information write to Gerald Pauley: firstname.lastname@example.org
N.B. If successful, during the first year of operation there will only be limited supplies of prehnite available for test production. Be sure to let us know early if this material is of interest to you.

As well as prehnite, a number of other minerals are also found at Wave Hill, such as agate, amethyst, amethyst geodes, beta quartz, calcite, chalcedony, chalcedony pseudomorphs after calcite and other minerals, hematite, iceland spar, quartz, smoky quartz, scolecite and, possibly, other zeolites.
